NGE Related: Ayanami Rei's Monologue

Browsing random images from Neon Genesis Evangelion reminded me of Ayanami Rei's 'Poem' which I had totally forgotten about. Hence, I decided to look it up once more and post it here, along with the english version, which has essentially the same meaning. It provides a little insight into Rei's thoughts and feelings, rather interesting considering how cold her character is usually portrayed as.

Note: Major confusion ahead for those who didn't watch the series.

English Version

Mountains. Heavy are the mountains, but that changes with the passage of time.

Sky, blue sky. What your eyes can't see. What your eyes can see.

The Sun. One, only one.

Water. It is agreeable. Commander Ikari . . .

Flowers. So many the same. So many without purpose.

The ending songs for Jigoku Shoujo, 'Karinui' and 'Aizome' for Seasons I and II respectively, had their PVs released together with the Jigoku Shoujo DVD (I think). Both songs were sung by the seiyuu (Noto Mamiko) of the main character, Enma Ai.

Interestingly, there's even a Jigoku Shoujo Cafe located in Shibuya! Wish I could visit it at least once, even though the cups and plates look a little tacky compared to the ambience. Here's a vid of Ai's seiyuu visiting the cafe!







p.s Is it me or does she resemble Ai slightly in the PVs? Maybe it's the hairstyle! ^^

Haruhi と Yuki Figurines

I wonder if they sell the pre-painted version here, though there still isn't much info with regards to the Yuki figure. Not since Kurohige Kiki Ippatsu (Hard Gay version) had a toy/figure caught my interest . . . until now. It probably dosen't help as well, that both figures were modeled after the character designs from my favourite scene of the anime, which was the concert held during the school festival. Both Haruhi and Yuki were decked out in their respective bunny and witch attires, and holding the same guitars as those included together with their figurine counterpart.

Also, I've actually finished a couple of J-Dramas and anime . . . some of which include Nobuta wo Produce, My Boss My Hero, Nodame Cantabile (all 3 loaned from xx) and Black Lagoon. The final arc of Black Lagoon was decently interesting, albeit a little slow moving compared to the Killer Maid and Twins arc, yet it was sad in the sense that there was a chance of the arc closing with a happier ending for once, but ultimately did not. Hope there'll be future seasons to come, though I'm not too sure about the status of the manga version. :D
